Coffee is a Creamy Wonderment
I've seen my tired eyes waiver in the offlight of morning,
Yawning as I work my way through eating and brushing my teeth,
And then a smell of open wonderment fills my breathing nose,
What is it do you suppose?
Coffee.
I was taught this caffeine driven drink is wrong,
Ever since I was a young boy,
And now as I'm a parent I see that it was never wrong,
It was strong.
Waking up has never been a strong point,
In fact morning seems to always come too early,
But now like superman to his phone booth he is seen,
I too change to a morning superdad thanks to coffee and caffeine.

Poetry: Coffee
I come in from the rainy street with water dripping from
The brim of my hat
Miserable and cold, I feel disoriented for a moment
Your sweet aroma lures me from the time that I awake.
Your rich brown color holds me sway, a spell I cannot break.

Morning coffee, you're my friend
You bring my headache to an end.
When my stress is maxing out
You give me something to smile

You are the one
who wakes me up in the morning,
who comforts me
in my time of need.
Your strength
radiates into my body
