So many things become archaic by definition of those moving to fast and far away from the central essence of who they are. Poetry is one such thing. But to the Kaleidoscopic heart on a pursuant path of deeper creativity, personal discovery, and colorful expression of who they are and how they see the world, the venue of poetry is the way.
How many times we have put aside the very things that make us whole and bring laughter and grief to the forefront? Poetry is one such media. It is a wonderful collage of interior images, symbols, feelings and expressions that can carry us to the heights of ecstasy or the depth of human suffering. Poetry creates a strong and healthy bridge between reality and fantasy, playing back and forth with the two, toying with the minds of the readers in this seesaw relationship between words and images that delight the readers with quizzical illusions and fanciful realities.
Poetry reaches across the main aisle of life and starts a journey into the worlds of music, theatre, T.V., movies, love and romance, war and peace. It uses imagery that carefully weaves its threads into the tapestries of all of life and death. Without poetry there would be a void in the understanding of the human heart and soul.
