So much of our time is spent looking for happiness that we don't realize we can find happiness in what we already have. To feel true happiness there are three fundamentals that you must believe. First is that you deserve to be happy, the second is that you can be happy and the final is that you are happy.
You Deserve To Be Happy!
So many of us get caught up in something negative from our past that we believe happiness will always elude us. Whether it is something we missed out on in our childhood or guilt from our past, many of us feel that we do not deserve to be happy. Whatever negative attributes you are holding on to from your past, let them go. Each of us has had tragedy in our lives. For many of us, letting the past go is all we need to do to find happiness today. Whether it is guilt, anger or sorrow that haunts you, you deserve happiness. Many people have found writing down their demons and either ripping up the paper or burning it is a good way of releasing the negative energy from the past. Whatever your ailments, releasing this negativity is critical in finding happiness.
You Can Be Happy!
Each of us has the ability to be happy. Finding ways to make other people happy is a great way to improve your mood. Volunteering at a nursing home, animal shelter or with kids can give you the boost you need to find happiness. Eating right, exercising or having a pet are also easy things you can do to increase your level of happiness. It has been proven that Vitamin B6 improves happiness. Foods such as fish, chicken, beans and spinach are heavy in B6. Something as easy as changing a few of your regular habits can get you back on track to your true happiness.
You Are Happy!
Sounds odd, but believing you are happy is one of the easiest ways to make yourself happy. 90% of our life comes from our attitude towards it. Just think about this. When you wake up in the morning, excited because you have something fun planned, you are happy and raring to go. When you wake up, dreading something, you feel tired and reluctant to get out of bed. Your mind has told your body how to feel that day. It is just as simple telling yourself to be happy. I have found using positive passwords or posting inspirational messages around the house helps me stay cheerful. Happiness is merely a state of mind. Set your mind to being happy.
Finding happiness can improve every aspect of your life. Happy people have better relationships, are more successful at work and live longer, healthier lives. Finding happiness in your life isn't about reaching your goals or being rich. It is appreciating what you have and learning to love it!
