At Christmas, what can you give to the man who has everything? Certainly, some folks appear to possess all they ever wanted or needed. How can gift-givers come up with fresh ideas that will prove meaningful and useful?

CONSIDER CONSUMABLES.

Christmas time offers an excellent opportunity for giving friends and loved ones amazing appetizers, bountiful beefsteaks, chewy chocolates, decadent delicacies, epicurean eats, fancy

firestarters, gourmet goodies and much more. If your gift recipient is a man who seems to have everything, you might choose an item that will be used up, or consumed, during the holiday season.

As you seek the perfect gift, you might consider the interests and tastes of the recipient? Does he love a good wine? Perhaps he enjoys a favorite flower. Maybe a festive Christmas wreath of tabletop tree will light his fancy.

Here's the secret. If you pick a consumable item, or one that will not last but for a season, then you may actually be able to begin an annual tradition. Next year, you might decide to purchase a new edition of the same item, or something quite similar.

DECIDE UPON DECOR.

Quite often, a special Christmas tree ornament, figurine or nativity set makes a unique and special gift for the man who seems to have everything.

If your gift recipient seems to have a surplus of holiday decorations already, why not purchase a few suitable storage containers instead? After Christmas, when he begins packing up his holiday dcor, he may be pleased to have a new organized system. Why not tuck in a few extra packages of Christmas tree lights and ornament hooks as well?

GO FOR GIFT CARDS.

Gift cards are always the safest choice, although they may seem more impersonal than hand-picked gifts.

However, a gift card can be quite sentimental and meaningful, if you select wisely and strategically. Do you and he have a special restaurant you enjoy? Does he have a favorite store? Sometimes, a well-chosen gift card may be just the ticket for the man who seems to have everything.

CHOOSE A CHARITY.

Of course, an individual who has already been blessed with material abundance and financial security might be pleased to receive a notification of a charitable donation made in his honor.

If he has a special hobby or cause, why not donate to an organization that fits this issue?

After all, when it comes to thoughtful Christmas giving, the giver's insight, interest and effort really do count the most.
