As a human being I have to say that immigration is a human rights issue. When America formed, it was formed so everyone and anyone had rights. We are all human beings and live on the same world.

If we look back in history we are all immigrants in one way or another. The only human beings who are not immigrants are the Native American Indians. We came to this country and took over theirs. This is suppose to be the land of the free. Not the land of prejudice and discrimination.

I have a husband and seven children. I don't want my children to grow up in a world where there is prejudice and discrimination. I have taught my children that no matter what color you are or where you come from, we are all equals. We all breath, sleep, eat, bleed, love, and cry the same. If we were to shut out every single immigrate then we would not be what we stand for.

How many times have you been turned away because you were different? I know I have just because I'm Japanese. Human rights belongs to humans, no matter what sex, religion, or belief that person may have or not have. I am a religious person and I believe that God made us for good reasons. I believe that God wants to see all of his creations happy and peaceful. We all just need to realize that we are all human beings with the same goal in life. That goal is peace and true happiness.

How would you feel if you were an immigrant coming to America to start a new life and America didn't want you? I know I would be devastated, disappointed, and hurt. America is suppose to be the land of opportunities and freedom. The opportunities that immigrants want are the same as we want. They want a better life, income, stability, and happiness. Freedom is a need for all of the human race. We all fought for freedom from other countries, and religions. I am proud to say that I'm a Christian and my freedom is to take pride in that. We all have rights, rights to live and prosper. Don't you believe in that too? How would you feel if you were told you had no human rights just because your an immigrant? Would you want your children to grow up in a world with prejudice and discrimination? I want my children to grow up in a world where all they see is peace, understanding, love, hope, honesty, trust, and faith. All immigrants have the right to have rights, no matter where they come from or what they look like.

Everyone has different views on this issue and I respect each view as I hope that you respect mine. I know this article may upset a few people but I felt that I needed to put my two cents in. Just as the few people who get upset has the right. Once again I think that immigration is a human rights issue because we are all human beings and we all deserve to have rights.
