His Cheating Heart...what is meant by that?
You are walking hand in hand with your boyfriend in the mall when all of a sudden his mouth drops and his head turns 180 degrees following a hot babe in a short black mini skirt. Once he turns back to look at you, you stare him down and give him the evil eye. In the back of your mind you begin to question your relationship. If given the chance would he pursue her? Would he cheat on you if the opportunity arose? Or has there ever been a time when he might have done it and you never were the wiser?
Has he ever crossed the line? Maybe, it all depends on your definition of cheating. Some boyfriends tend to be somewhat flirtations. It is truly harmless right? Most of the time yes, but there is that emotional cheating. Some boyfriends may be clueless of their actions and become dependant on the emotions of the opposite sex. They thrive to get attention from someone else other than there girlfriend. It could be a simple touch on the hand or on the shoulder. So what defines cheating? Some girlfriends may think that is any act that betrays them emotionally and/or physically while others believe that it is to have sexual relationship with someone other than their partner. Sure if your partner sleeps with someone else he has definitely crossed the line, but what about a kiss. Depends, a kiss on the cheek from a female friend doesn't mean he is cheating, but a full force lip lock can create a path into unfaithful grounds. It could mean one step closer to getting naked together. A line some boyfriends don't think twice about crossing until it is too late. A secret he might have to live with forever and in hopes that no one will ever find out, especially his sweet and loyal girlfriend.
So why do some boyfriends cheat? Is it pure instinct, nature or has society taught us that it is acceptable behavior? If our country leaders and entertainment role models can cheat and not so much as be shunned for it than what it that saying to the fellow man? Adultery is wrong. All guys know that cheating is wrong so why do they do it? The reasons why boyfriends cheat on their girlfriends can be varied. Some guys will blame their reasons for cheating on their genes and their necessity to reproduce. Guys have the typical animal behavior, pure instinct of the nature of the beast. Hello! Shouldn't your boyfriend be a little more evolved and make conscious decisions of what is right and wrong? You would think that they should be able to control their
