It can be frustrating to come up with good gift ideas for the man who has everything, but here are a few suggestions for those hard-to-buy-for males in your life:
Play it again: MP3 players are all the rage, but why not take it one step further and fill the new gadget with his favorite music? Another option is to burn a few CD's of his favorite songs or a mix of your own creation for him to play in the car on the commute to work.
Making memories: Photo prints are cheap at both drug stores and department stores. Most of them offer online services - you just choose, upload, order and pick them up. You can either put them together in a photo album or choose just one special print to frame and wrap.
Read all about it: Is your guy a do-it-yourselfer, a techno-geek, a gamer? There's a magazine for every hobby or interest you can think of. Buy him a subscription to a magazine that features his favorite hobby.
Bake that potato: Is your guy a couch potato? Create a themed movie night for the two of you, complete with tickets, snacks and a cuddle under the blanket. Gift him with not only the latest popular movie release, but with one-on-one time with just the two of you.
Dress him down: Even if your guy sleeps in the buff, he will still appreciate a warm pair of flannel lounge pants or boxers. He might have his own pair of favorite slippers, but chances are they're worn or you've stolen them, so a replacement pair might be a good idea.
Get out of jail free card: Create a coupon book that frees him from a daily chore once in a while. Make sure it's a one-time-only coupon, in case he gets any ideas, but you can also create coupons for an hour of gaming with no nagging; a hot night in bed; a bath and man-spa treatmentuse your imagination.
Get away: This is a good time of year to plan a weekend trip for just the two of you. Prices are down in the off-season, airfares are low, and you can book a romantic weekend for a lot less than you think. Pick something that will be fun for both of you. The added bonus is it gives you both something to look forward to through the dreary winter months.
The last resort: Okay, he has everything and you can't think of one thing he doesn't have that he wants. How about gift cards? There are gift cards available for almost anything you can imagine. Gas cards, restaurant cards, shopping cards, phone cards, credit card cards - think of what he likes to do, but also what he needs to do during his day, and buy the appropriate card.
Christmas is not all about the gifts; it's about the thought behind the gift. Take a good look at the man in your life, the one you think everything, and give him the one thing he can't get enough of - your love. Reflect this in the gift you choose for him and you can't go wrong.
