If you live in a city where well known authors attend book signings, find out if there's an author he follows and get a copy of his latest book signed. It might mean waiting in a line for an hour. Just keep in mind how impressed he'll be with your thoughtfulness.

How about a shared adventure or experience with your special man that has to do with an interest you can both enjoy or one you would like to initiate with him. A hot air balloon ride during the day or a champagne ride at sunset. Tickets to the theater, symphony or to see his favorite headliner entertainer or band can turn into a memorable night with lasting memories.

Perhaps during your detective work you discovered that he has philanthropic interests that transcend his materialistic needs. In this case, you no longer need to stress over what to get this guy. A generous donation to his favorite charity will, without a doubt, light up his face with the knowledge that something good will be done in his name.

Who knows, this gesture may even improve your relationship. He may look at you with new eyes believing that you understand something very important about him. What's another bonus? You just figured out that finding a Christmas gift for the man who has everything may not be so difficult after all.
