A bottle of wine and a table set for two

but I'm all alone guess I'll have a drink or two

maybe have one for you

what else can I do

Memories play like movies in my mind

No matter how hard I try I see them all the time

And it seems like I'm always hoping and wishing

for a different ending every time

And I wonder how things got this way

Seems like only yesterday I was smiling

Time's gone by and the candles burning low

It's raining outside and I have no place to go

Weather man says tommorow will be sunny but I don't know

Seems like it's been raining a long long time

Now I'm drunk and watching shadows on the wall

And trying to make sense of it all

Feeling like every time I try to run I fall

Just so damm tired of it all

And I wonder how things got this way

Seems like only yesterday I was smiling

Morning comes and I awake from my bed

with an empty bottle and an aching in my head

It's days like these man I wish I was dead
