TO DISCOVER HAPPINESS
We, are bombarded with the images of what true happiness represents. " If I just had a bigger house," If my wife was smaller," if my husbands hair would stop disappering", If the kids were all on the honor role, If my mother in law would just disappear, If my business would have taken in more revenue last year instead of us being bankrupt now, if she wouldn't have left, If he would'v just proposed etc blah, blah blah Ok, maybe you don't see yourself saying anything close to that or maybe I'm right on target. Anyway, the point of the matter is you have to be true to yourself inorder to be happy with who you are. So, if your working at a dead end job (like me) instead of following your passion in life then your not happy. If, your in school because your parents want you to be and your studying courses that you could care less about then your not happy. You, are just existing through this life coasting until either the job down sizes or your parents suddenly forget the best way to come to your school.Your, best bet is to ask yourself the following questions, get the answers and head for the hills changing your life, making a difference, and compliting the will of God and not your own.
The biggest question that I've had to answer for myself is How Do I Define Myself Worth? This, is a question many have to ask when choosing a career path, spouse etc. Is your self worth based solely on what others think of you or how you feel about yourself? Do, you even like who you are right now? If, your idenity has been spent either obtaining wealth or being what others want you to be instead of following your own path then your unhappy and not living up to your full potential. Many women, spend years as caregivers to others without putting their needs in the equation so they end up working at places they can't stand, while obtaining degrees they have no interest in. The ,secret to happiness is following your heart, obtaining and reaching your goals.
We've, all started out with dreams and desires but along the way life has erased those desires due to having to grow up and being responsible for others. Now, I pose this fundemental question not only to those reading this but to myself "What did you want to be when you were younger?" That one childhood dream could be your ticket to true happiness!? I vow, to not give up on my childhood dream of becoming a successful published writer and publisher. Being true, to yourself and your craft is our little secret! SH!
Peace
