The Christmas season is the time of year for families to gather and make precious memories together. Following are 20 fun activities for the whole family to enjoy this holiday season.

1) Wrap Christmas presents together. The adults can fill out the gift tags, while the older children wrap the presents and the younger children put on the bows.

2) Go shopping together for holiday decorations. Let each family member pick out a special ornament to put on the Christmas tree.

3) Have a "Craft Family Day". Make some quick and easy Christmas decorations for the tree.

4) If you are planning to buy a real Christmas tree this year, take the family along and pick out one together.

5) Set aside an evening for the family to trim the Christmas tree together. Put on some cheerful holiday music and sing along with the music while decorating the tree.

6) Bake Christmas cookies together and let everyone, including the younger children, take part in decorating them.

7) Make candy and cookies together to give as Christmas gifts to family and friends. The younger children can help with the ones that does not require cooking.

8) Buy a Gingerbread House Kit and let everyone help put it together.

9) Buy holiday rubber stamps and let everyone design their own homemade Christmas cards.

10) Address Christmas cards together. If a child is too young to write, let him or her put stamps on the envelopes. They can also decorate the envelopes with festive Christmas stickers.

11) Gather the family around a warm, cozy fire and read the "Christmas Story" together.

12) Take the family out for a drive one night to view the Christmas lights.

13) Go to Church as a family and watch a Christmas Play together.

14) Take the family to the local Christmas parade in your town.

15) Bundle everyone up in warm clothing and go Christmas caroling in your neighborhood.

16) Spend a quiet, peaceful evening together sharing past Christmas memories.

17) Take the family to Wal-Mart or some place that takes photos and have a Christmas portrait made.

18) Everyone join in and help put a festive Christmas basket together. Give it to a needy or elderly person in your neighborhood.

19) Volunteer as family to help out at a local charity or soup kitchen during the holiday season.

20) Enjoy a festive Christmas dinner together. Afterwards gather around the tree and open your presents to each other.

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!
