Poetry: Angry tears

by Cindy Shanks

Created on: December 09, 2008   Last Updated: October 07, 2010

Blistering ANGRY tears,

Scalding icy skin.

Trembling scared

Of the mess I'm in.

Clutched in my hand

Your spidery  note

The last ever traces

Of the letter you wrote.

A  final message

Smudged with my tears.

We squandered time

Believing we had years.

Here, then gone,

Stolen away

I'm here exploding

 unfinished words to say.

Blistering ANGRY tears,

One day they will subside

I will learn to let go

And say a final goodbye.
