The difference between saying 'Happy holidays' versus 'Merry Christmas'

Halloween.

Others do and they enjoy it therefore if they wish me a Happy Halloween I smile and wish them one right back. There is no reason for me to be offended by the friendly gesture nor is there any reason for me to complain about it or try to take their freedom of speech away because I choose not to celebrate that specific holiday.

America is supposed to be a free country. We are supposed to have the freedom of speech as well as the freedom to celebrate whatever holiday we wish to celebrate. As for me, Christmas is Christmas, I will call it Christmas and not Holiday.

In a free country people should be allowed to celebrate all holidays in whatever way they choose. Part of that freedom should also involve allowing people the freedom of speech to openly and freely wish others a Merry Christmas without having to worry about someone getting offended.

You may not celebrate Christmas or you may not accept Jesus. However, it is my right to do so and it is not fair to try to take that away from me. I do not like many things I hear when walking down the street or walking through stores however, I realize that while I may find certain things offensive it is the persons right to freedom of speech.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
