Let me start by asking another question, did the tooth fairy put money under your pillow? Here is another one for you, did Santa Claus leave gifts for you under the Christmas tree as a child? That is correct the answer is no, as they are myths. While my own personal beliefs lead me to believe that something created the universe, as most everyone would agree, giving it human like characteristics with a small army of winged men is ridiculous. Even more ridiculous than thinking these imaginary creatures walk among us, is using the bible as a historical book to provide facts that support your argument. Nothing upsets a college graduate with a double major in English and History, hence the reason I am taking the short time required to state why the idea is ludicrous.
If angels existed, which they do not, I would be extremely upset to find out that walk amongst on a daily basis. For a very simple reason, stating that mythical angels walk the earth would imply that sit idly by watching travesties take place all over the world. I'll even take the time to put it into an easy to understand example. Christianity attacked Islam and the Muslims during the crusade, as they were the enemies of the "true" Christian God. The pope who is essentially the mouth of God on Earth, especially during the time period, sent kings and their followers into battle claiming that the Muslims were evil. Now let us go farther back for a minute to the first holy war, the one between God and Lucifer for control of heaven or earth or whatever (i never paid attention in church as a child). God had his angels fighting the angels that he kicked out of heaven or evil. Since the pope is the vicar of god's or his son whatever, would the angels here on earth not fight against this evil that is must have been inspired by Satan himself? Let's go one step further, wouldn't these angels have won the war for Christianity and Yahweh since they are much more powerful than any man. Fast forward to the present day and you can see that angels obviously do not walk against us as Islam is practiced by more people than Christianity.
So angels have been out in the open wandering among people forever, without letting any sane and rational person know for sure. I of course am leaving out any biblical reference to some one seeing an angel for very simple reasons. One huge reason would involve how the people of the time sustained their lives. Their main beverage of choice seems to have been fermented fruit. Which would directly imply that people living in a warm desert like environment all jacked up on what Michael Jackson affectionately called Jesus juice. That is probably a low blow as the Christian church rid itself of pedophilia long ago. I would challenge anyone who views these accounts as accurate to go walk around in hot dry climate with a bottle of wine, on a sunny day and report back on the strange stuff they thought they saw as well. In short no angels do not walk among us, although one day they might. That is if human genes mutate enough allow us to grow wings in the near future.
