If you are attending a wedding during the fall, it is a good idea to plan an outfit which has layered options that will work well no matter how the day turns out. There are numerous ways to make your outfit suitable for Tran seasonal weather. By planning ahead you can avoid having to spoil your outfit at the last minute by throwing something ill fitted over a cute little dress. Or worse still having a rotten time because you end up freezing through the whole event.
Typically men do not wear anything different barring extreme weather conditions so the following ideas are aimed at women. However, men look particularly good in chocolate or tan suiting with touches of gold, burnt orange and muted yellow and red at this time of year.
Some suggestions for women include:
Hosiery
t is a good idea to have a variety of hosiery on hand that suit the outfit you plan to wear. If the day turns out to be warm and formality allows you can go bare legged. If it is a little chilly a sheer nude stocking may be suitable and if it is quite cold an opaque tight will keep your legs warm in a dress or skirt.
Shoes
You should also have different footwear options on hand. Open toe sandals may be suitable if it is warm, but you will need a pair of closed in shoes like peep toes or ballet flats if it turns out to be cold.
Maxi dresses
The maxi style dress is a good pick for fall because it provides some coverage on the legs, but is still a fresh look. If the day does turn out to be cold you can wear virtually any type of hosiery underneath because it will not be seen.
Suit sets
A matching dress, skirt or pants suit works well for in between seasons because the wearer has the option to remove the jacket if it is warm. Just make sure the dress is a beautiful fit underneath or that you wear an elegant top that you are happy to show off. You don't want to get caught out in reverse and be too hot because your not comfortable taking your jacket off.
Wraps
It is a wise investment to purchase a neutral wrap that can go with your wedding outfit. A lightweight version will fold up to fit in a small bag for whenever you need it. They also are good to put over outfits which have detailing at the top or sleeves because they can be draped so that they don't squash an area like a jacket might. Don't be paranoid about color matching- gold, silver, black or nude wraps will work back with most color combinations.
Shrugs/Boleros
Shrugs and bolero jackets are great because they keep your arms
