Speed Of Life

"Look at her, isn't she wonderful?",

I asked my husband in a hushed whisper,

as we stared down at the little pink face.

"Yes.", he simply replied.

"Come here!"

"Because I said so!"

"Sweetie, put your coat on, it is cold outside."

"Coming over today!"

"We're just too busy right now, Mom."

"Mom, don't buy me any more coats!"

"Look at her, isn't she wonderful?",

My daughter asked in a hushed whisper,

as we stared down at the little pink face.

"Yes.", we simply replied.

"Here comes Grandma and Grandpa!"

"They said, yes!"

"Grandma, help me with my coat!"

"Look at heaven, is it wonderful?",

I asked my husband in a hushed whisper,

as I held his cold hand.

"Yes", he simply replied.

"No, Mom, come this way,"

"Because, you can't drive anymore!"

"Here Mom, put your coat on it is cold outside."

"Look at her, wasn't she wonderful?",

My granddaughter asked in a whispery voice, as

her parents stared down at my peaceful face.

"Yes.", they simply replied.
