The True Meaning of Christmas
God's most loved creation
throughout all time was man.
When sin stepped in and man fell,
God revealed his greatest plan.
Heaven's most very precious
would come to pay the price,
without restraint or second thought
choose to be our sacrifice.
Thus came the most wonderful night
in a lowly manger stall,
A tiny king lay sleeping
on a humble bed of straw.
Angels' voices were heard that night
as they sang out on high,
to announce the little newborn babe
who had come to earth to die.
The greatest gift ever given,
redemption for all of man.
Proof of God's unending love,
shown in salvation's' plan.
Although these words weren't spoken,
in my heart it isn't odd.
For I can almost hear him say
"Merry Christmas to all,"
Love God.
