Being a freelance writer allows you to work from home which is something that more and more people are looking to do today. The internet has made freelancing a very feasible career opportunity and let's face it, websites need content and you could be the very one to write it.

E-books, press releases, movie scripts, magazine articles, grant proposals, and newsletters are among the many different things you could be writing as a freelance writer. No assignment is ever the same and the joy of seeing your own work in print is more than enough.

If you are the type of freelance writer that offers website content you will never be out of a job. Of course to do this you will need to learn some basics. If you write regularly for magazines your name will become well known and that in its self will allow you to dictate how much you earn per writing piece. You might even get your own column. The more well known you become the more work you will get and you might also get some really great invitations too. You might get asked to interview famous people for your articles and you might also get some all expenses paid trips to do so. It really is up to you how far you want to take your freelance writing career.

Freelance writing for many can be their ticket to freedom. No more 9 to 5, no more long office hours, and no more commuting.

If someone asked me why anyone would want to become a freelance writer I think my best response it that being a freelance writer allows me to live my writing dream and get paid for it. It's my perfect job and that's all any of us are after. The perfect job with the perfect salary and for me that's what freelance writing is.
