The following is a list of 16 kid friendly attractions in New York City. It is advised to take public transportation or taxis to these destinations. Many of the attractions do have parking but it is very expensive. There are many things to see and do in New York City and without a little guidance it can get overwhelming.
New York Skyride

This is a virtual skyride over New York. Check out the website for possible health precautions before purchasing tickets. Children must be 36" tall to enjoy this attraction, usually about 3 years old. Skyride is located in the Empire State Building and will only take a short time so you may want to consider some of the attractions around the Empire State Building as well.

This is a great theatre. Check the Website for plays and times. Some shows may only be appropriate for older children. Buy your tickets early from the website. Minkshoff has been running the The Lion King. If this theatre is not showing a play that is right for your family check out the many other theatres in the city. If you have younger chldren the theatre does have a limited number of booster seats, so kids do not have to sit on adults' laps.

Wax figures are so life like! Wax figures of historical people, sports players and modern-day pop icons just to name a few. Is it real or wax? See if you can tell. This is a good afternoon outing.

Closed Tuesday and Wednesday This is a house from the late 19th century. Period furniture and dress are on display. Great opportunity to educate kids on the time-period. This museum will only take a short time to tour it all so you may want to plan something else for the day as well.

The world of shrunken heads, albino giraffes, and other oddities await for your peering stares. Remember the camera for this trip and plan to spend a couple of hours to most of the day.
