Celebrities do far more harm than good. Though it is good that some actually know how to conduct themselves in public, however others don't even know how NOT to be caught without their underwear. These are the ones that unfortunately win the attention of the public and media alike. There was once a time when celebrities were admired for their talents, charm, and beauty. But today's celebrities show that any untalented half-wit can rise to stardom. All they have to do is make complete fools of themselves on national television, on a mundane reality television show.

But when they aren't proving to the world how shallow they can be, they practicing unhealthy habits such as drugs, excessive partying, and alcoholism. These habits go on unopposed and they are even celebrated. Some of the biggest names today are only here, or still relevant because of these habits. One of the best examples is Paris Hilton. With this trend of the untalented rising to stardom, where would that leave us, the audience? Just about everyday we have to hear about so-and-so's clubbing, or so-and-so's drinking or drug habits.

It contradicts the example celebrities themselves present when they tell kids "don't do drugs", "drinking and driving is not cool". They fail to practice what they preach. Some claim they want to be a role model, but how can they when they're doing the opposite of what they should be doing? There is also the age-old problem with how excruciatingly thin most of these women are, and the image they promote to the very girls that look up to them. There
