The Obama cult: Is the Second Coming nigh?

by Ryan Meyers

Barack Obama the second coming? I don't think so but this question surly undermines everything Barack stands for.

Look, it took arguably the dumbest and most arrogant president in history to cause this question to arise. By no means am I saying that Barack won the election because Georgie boy was so incredibly unbearable but I think it's pretty clear that any Democrat would have faired well in this election.

It may seem that Barack is so adorned that you may draw parallels to the second coming but I don't think "hype" can cause such feeling in so many people.

The reason everyone is so enthusiastic about Barack is because he acts like the person we all aspire to be. Does that mean he is truly that poised and presidential all the time? I don't know but his actions are very moving. He surrounds himself with people that rival if not trump his superior intelligence and that suggests he is humble.

You can imply that he is fronting the perfect president and setting up the American people for the great decline but hey that's already happened.

Look every time a great human being rises to power or is highly respected by the masses, many people feel threatened. If Barack Obama is really that amazing than what am I?

Is so revered because he is black? No but it certainly is the icing on the cake. You may not want to hear that but it is pretty amazing that we have a black president. The fact that it matters in this time and age is pretty ridiculous and I can understand friction between cultures but I think friction is a complete understatement when talking about white and black America.

Sure a great majority of black and white America is not prejudiced but so many still are. And did everyone forget that he is half white. Again not that it matters but maybe it is a statement from the stars that it is time to just treat a human as such no matter where their ancestors derived from.

It really was a moment to remember watching him stand on that podium with his beautiful family and when reality sunk in I couldn't help getting the chills and being filled with joy.

This election showed me that America finally rejected fear and voted for the best candidate. I also shared the feelings so many black Americans felt when they saw him standing there. I too could tell my children once again that against all odds the American dream IS truly alive and anyone can achieve any goal with the right amount of hard work, dedication and a strong belief in self.

I don't think the man defines the perception
