Essays: Worldview influences

MEET THE MOCKERS

KATHLEEN "DU JOUR" PARKER: Journalist. Daughter of a womanizer. Defender of men. Had 4 step mothers. Married to a lawyer. Mother of 2 step sons and 1 of her own: Parker is conservative. But she realizes the hairiness of life and how we cannot always be the paragons we wanna be. Jumps into a pile of crap like a Navy Seal.

GEORGE "ON ANOTHER PLAIN" WILL: Journalist. Son of a philosopher and some woman. Defender of the constitution. Wanna be communist. Southern man. Educated at Princeton. Married twice. With children, one of whom has Down Syndrome: He is more intelligent than 7/8 of Americans. Think Aristotle without the originality. He could kill a man with conversation.

LEONARD "DUCK" PITTS: Journalist. Eastern Black Man. Responsible father: You could set this man in a sewer in Bolivia and he'd civilize the place. A bit corny at times but smart.

JUAN "GET ABOUT" WILLIAMS: Journalist. Heavy Weight. Black Man from Panama. Son of an accountant. Married with two children. Has two eyeballs that see it all for what it really is. Dances.

WENDELL "HUNT AND PECK" GOLER: Get about talking head. Savvy. Black Man from Detroit. Can anything good come out of Michigan? Stranger things have happened. Got the answering nod from Obama.

MICHAEL D."SPOOK" SHEARS: Journalist. Blogger. Hard to find. Eats popcorn. Started the Macaca crap. Likes to dish it out and hide out. Seriously tough reporter for the Washington Post. (If anybody's related to him, they are not admitting it.)

MICHAEL "MILKMAN" GERSON: Journalist. Syndicated. He's the kind of guy you find in church on Sunday whispering, "I told you so!"

MONA "I'M A GIRL" CHAREN: Journalist. Somewhat new to the hood. A conservative ornament. Still thinks men are trustworthy. Would probably support a Ku Klux Klan day care.

MEESTER ZEEZO: Journalist. Oklahoman. Smart ass. Irish temperament. Got a face like a turtle.

ADVICE: Don't believe everything you read. Which means reading one column in any newspaper could require a day of research. But in the long run, it will be worth it. And remember, one's world view may not be another's. Decision making at any level requires knowledge and knowledge is not like a common trollop on every corner. No, she's more like a life long marriage that can sometimes be exquisitely ugly.

DISCLAIMER: I've never spoken with any of the above and wouldn't admit it if I had. One's own worldview is like a well built castle.
