Moonlighting in a High School - "O Teacher Where Art Thou?"
INT. CLASSROOM - NIGHT
In low light shadows dance across a blackboard. Various
artifacts clutter a long countertop. A fertility god, a
dinosaur bone, an old music box, a cane.
The countertop stops short of a large desk. A man, MR.
JENKINS (50), sits amidst the overflow of paperwork. His
clothes are practical, his look distracted, and his thin
hair retreats from his even thinner face.
Pink Floyd drifts from the tiny, ancient radio on his
desk.
EXT. SCHOOL - SAME
There is only one room lit in the big building.
Expensive leather shoes adorn the feet that light up the
steps leading toward the entrance.
A hand reaches for the door, but it's locked. The still
unseen stranger reaches into his coat pocket and
withdraws a small dagger, and he jimmies the lock with
ease.
INT. CLASSROOM - SAME
An echoed clank catches Mr. Jenkins attention. He
listens and waits for a brief moment.
He goes to the window and glances out. There in the
parking lot are two cars - his beater and another more
expensive car.
Nervous now, Mr. Jenkins gathers paperwork into a
briefcase with a quick sweep of his desk.
He starts out, but stops short. He glances back at
something on his cluttered counter top.
SCHOOL HALLWAY - SAME
Mr. Jenkins peeks out of his classroom and scopes each
direction. Its emptiness is eerie.
He keeps an eye out as he closes his door and starts down
the hall.
His cheap suit doesn't exactly match his dirty old
sneakers, and he looks even more askew.
We stay on his shoes as he shuffles along the hallway.
ANOTHER PART OF THE HALLWAY - SAME
Back on the expensive shoes, their owner strolls at a
leisurely pace.
BACK ON MR. JENKINS
Shadows draw long across the lockers and darken his face.
He picks up the pace.
BACK ON THE STRANGER
We watch from behind as he continues his stroll. He
reaches out a hand and flips across each lock on the
lockers.
EXT. SCHOOL - SAME
Mr. Jenkins bursts from the building. He clutches his
briefcase and sends a worried glance over his shoulder.
He flies down the steps to make his getaway.
A large man steps into his path.
He turns back toward the school, but the elegant stranger
who has pursued him approaches.
ELEGANT STRANGER
Going somewhere?
MR. JENKINS
I... I was just going home.
The stranger smiles and steals a glance at the bulging
briefcase.
Mr. Jenkins follows his gaze. With a wide eyed gasp he
darts away.
ACROSS THE GROUNDS
Mr. Jenkins sprints over the grass with the two men on
his heels.
The chase continues until he happens to glance over his
shoulder
