Larsson could be another major coup for Ferguson along the same lines as Cantona.
Like Cantona, the former Swedish international has a certain aura about him and is the type of character, who could give the entire squad a lift in the Premiership run in.
Larsson has great experience, is exceptionally fit for his age,and is a first rate finisher. The United front line now has a 1999 look about it, in that they have four strikers of exceptional talent, Larsson, Rooney, Saha and Ole Gunnar.
It looks like Heinze could be on the way out of Old Trafford, which is a huge change in fortune for a man who was last season voted the Club's player of the year. He has not looked the same player since his injury. Without him United still look solid at the back, Evra is a much improved player this term and I think Vidic has been exceptional in the centre of defence. The addition of Southampton's Bale would mean United remain well covered for all the defensive positions. In midfield Paul Scholes has been exceptional and is playing some of the best football of his career, whilst Carrick has been improving well of late, and looks like he might finally be finding his niche at United. Giggs and Ronaldo have also been exceptional, Fletcher and Park have also made positive contributions to the campaign so far this season. Hargreaves though would be a great addition to the squad and would give United a little bit of extra pace and aggression in the middle of the park. I think it is unlikely at this point that United will land their man before the end of January deadline, and will probably have to wait until Summer. Hargreaves would I think give United the edge in the race for the title, but even without him, I think United are capable of holding on to their leas, given that everything is not exactly rosy with Chelsea. This coming weekend is important with United away at Arsenal and Chelsea away to Liverpool. If the gap is still six points on Monday, then I think United will have taken a giant step to another Premiership crown.
