In his state of the Union Address for 2007, President George W. Bush called for a 22% increase in federal grants for research and development of alternative energy. However, in a speech he gave shortly after they said they assembled, I have to admit that there are some interesting mixed signals when it comes to financing.
When the mixed signals were concerned comes from the fact that at the same time he urged the president to more government support for alternative energy research and development, the NREL-the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colardo-was a surplus of workers and papers left and right. Apparently, Laboratory received the advice, since shortly after the state of the Union Address, everything is re-hired. Others said the president was actually given to NREL. There is almost unanimous support for federal support for research through grants, tax breaks and other financial incentives for research and development of alternative energy sources.
The NREL is best known in America component of the National central bioenergija, as a "virtual" center, which has no central office bricks and mortar. The NREL is the raison d'etre is to promote the U.S. Department of Energy and the United States' alternative energy goals. In a laboratory in areas where the investigators and staff scientists, in the words of Directors Laboratory parvenuism Dan, "the critical support of market objectives to accelerate research from scientific innovations to market-viable alternative energy solutions. The core of this strategic direction of NREL's research and technological development. This areas span from understanding renewable energy sources, that the conversion of these renewable resources of electricity and fuel, and finally the use of renewable sources of electricity and fuels in homes, commercial buildings and vehicles. "behind the Federal Government Laboratory directly helps with the United States' goals for the discovery of alternative fuels for sustainable power supply to our economy and our lifestyles.
The NREL is designed to be different areas of expertise in the field of alternative sources of energy, research and development. It spearheads research and development efforts towards a sustainable source of electricity, which will include such things as solar energy, wind energy, biomass energy and geothermal energy. It also spearheads research and development of renewable fuels to power our vehicles, such as biomass and biodiesel fuels and hydrogen fuel
