As a mere mortal, Barack Obama displays character traits attributable to a deity. For one thing he is compulsive viewing, when he speaks we listen, for another he holds a position that at once is very compelling and draws in interest waiting for his humanity to shine through the carefully designed cover. Barack Obama kept people watching waiting for his exceptionality to tumble into the dirt, like a formula one racecar the weakness in his apparent perfection lurked just around the next bend. If you hated Barack Obama, it was because you where superstitious and distrustful of a man who compared so little to you, if you loved him it was because you tagged your dreams with his words and wanted desperately to realise tangibility as a result.

Barack Obama is not an African American; he is a mixed race American, like most Americans. Therefore he was able to appeal, to most Americans, because his words where more powerful than his appearance.

September Eleventh 2001, does not have intellectual finality. Emotionally we all walk in its shadow, but because the story has not ended, and what we seek is the conclusion before any more families have to experience deep loss, we have all become radical, despite our reluctance to recognise the changes intellectually. We are as a child who has told the teacher what the bully as done and then begin to wait for the insecurity to lift. The time passes with no relief, only increases in uncertainty. Without certainty, the world seems a dangerous and hostile place, which is all self reflected so it makes people think. We think about the desire for change and by remaining fearful, we fail to make change so we seek change outside ourselves.

Barack Obama; no one has heard these words before. Barack, that is strong, like an army, brave, a watch your back' type of guy. Obama, well he blew up the twin trade towers, only we are completely sure he didn't, so let's vote for him. John Scot would not have been elected either would Hillary Clinton. We have heard these names before and we want change. Barack Obama took the idea of change to a level that would have been political suicide in any other time. Things are getting worse day by day, that is not what people are used to, the ceiling has come down and we want an end to this decline, we want change, badly.

That's the problem. We want change because we are constantly in a state of emotional flux, and we want the assurance of September 10, but we will never get it back and that realisation will
