Your world
encased in cement
its history tucked into corners
or worse -
reduced to rubble and memories
amidst a fast paced race
to bigger and better
My world
earth, water and peace
with infinite shades of green
but beyond
its outward beauty
is a lonely shade of dark
that defines alone
Our world
exists between others
suspended
too elusive to touch
but connected nonetheless
across endless miles
yearning to become one
