One spark of light shines in the dark;
The brotherhood of man
I wonder how to leave my mark
Or even if I can
In the mirror I see the reflection
Of everything I've missed
While running and racing and chasing rejection
Not sure if I even exist.
Forgetting to breathe, needing to sleep
The noise of the world in my ear
I want to slow down, find something to keep
I'm afraid that I might disappear.
My heart and my head are colliding, chaotic
The world rushing by me so fast.
Running in circles, a clock chasing neurotic
Imprisoned by ghosts from my past.
In a rush of fast forward, I falter again
I struggle too hard not to fall
I'm falling apart from spinning my wheels.
In the end, I go nowhere at all.

Why, where; now and near

twilight
Face to foam, eyes glazed.
Let it die.
Connected
Each thought escapes comprehension until the next one comes along
What exactly do I hope to get from this?
I feel
