Most teen girls are into things like clothes, jewelry, and make-up. They also are probably into music, movies, video games, and ... The gift you choose will depend on your relationship with the girl in question. If the girl is a friend, or a girlfriend you'd probably want to give her something completely different than if she were your sister.
Here are some ideas for all of the possible teen girls in your life:
Girlfriends: Girlfriends usually expect something sentimental, or romantic when you give them a gift. Something with special significance and meaning to the two of you is the best way to go. If you can't come up with a good gift that reinforces the "special bond" the two of you share, then consider something like jewelry, a big soft and snuggly teddy bear, or maybe an engraved momento, or "token" of how much you care for her. Girls also really like flowers, the bigger the bouquet, the more she'll like it.
Friends: If the girl you're shopping for is a good friend, one that you know well and have had a lot of good times with, consider what her likes and dislikes are. Who is her favorite band? What's her favorite movie? What are her hobbies, and interests? Shopping for a gift for a friend is one of the easier things to do, since you probably know that girl well enough to guess what she'd like or dislike. If you can get concert tickets to see her favorite band, or an autographed picture of her favorite movie star, she'll probably go nuts when she opens your gift. Otherwise you might try movie passes, band tee's and merchandise etc... You can also go for the wild and wacky gifts, lava lamps, neon signs, or strobe lights, just to name a few.
Sisters: If you have a sister who is a teen it can be a bit tricky to figure out what to get her. Appliances, like blow dryers, curling irons, crimpers and other such "necessities" might work well. Chocolate is a great gift, and if you're lucky maybe she'll even share. A gift certificate to her favorite restaurant or store is another possibility that she would probably really appreciate.
Others: If none of the above ideas have helped you solve the gift giving dilemna, consider:
* A basket filled with all of her favorite junk food.
* A giant framed picture of you and her together
* A spa or salon gift certificate
* If all else fails (and her parents won't kill you) get her a puppy or a kitten. She's sure to love you for life!
