The Holy Bible is more relevant now than ever before due to the end-time warnings contained in the Book of Revelation as well as the astounding accuracy of prophetic truth actually coming to pass in a modern age. The beauty of the Bible is that it is the inspired word of God. Although it was written thousands of years ago by such notable historic figures such as Moses, David and the Apostle Paul, it can be counted upon as a reliable source of where we came from, what we can expect in this life, and where we are going in this life and after death.
Biblical scholars and even many scientists have carefully examined the scriptures for authenticity and accuracy. Although it appears that some texts contradict one another, it is remarkable how much of the Bible is consistent given the history of archiving such sacred material over vast periods of time. The beauty of the human truths which have maintained their integrity over the ages makes the Holy Bible simply impossible to become "outdated." Like mathematical formulas and laws of nature, spiritual truths, for example justice and a sense of balance, never become obsolete or change with circumstance.
The Holy Bible is self-relevatory. This means that it relies on no one to authenticate the validity of its truth claims but the reader and the Holy Spirit of God when one is reading God's words. The Bible can speak to large groups or one individual at a time, but each and every person would be getting the message personally that is intended for their heart and mind. This kind of reception or conviction is ongoing as the person grows and changes with experience. This makes the Holy Bible a wonderful teaching tool, a comforting spiritual guidebook, and yes, even a scientific primer when it comes to dietary and sexual practices to avoid or trying to understand placement of the stars and why bad things happen to good people sometimes "the rain falls on the just and the unjust" and "to everything there is a season."
More people than ever are turning to the Holy Bible for enlightenment during these modern trying times. Even people who do not normally access Biblical wisdom are looking to the Bible as a prophetic foreteller of what to expect in the days ahead because they know that history tells us the Bible is always, always accurate, right and true. It may not be apparent right away or during our lifetimes, but in the end, if God says it, it will come to pass. Another reason even intellectuals and agnostics are so desperately seeking what the Holy Bible says today is because of the moral ambivalence among people and the general lack of an ethical compass. If there are so many people who are nonbelievers who accept no ultimate supreme judge, then who are they accountable to? what would be their motivation, if any, to do the right thing? When the government, Supreme Court or local judges and police must make a decision which will affect the very life and death of an individual (capital crime pardons, abortion, medical testing), what moral authority will they rest upon? The Holy Bible is God's gift and word to us and is forever.
The Holy Bible has been and continues to be the number one bestselling book of all time, despite whatever edition or language. The New York Times Bestseller lists do not even put them on any more because it is always number one. There must be a reason why so many people are buying the Holy Bible and reading it. It speaks to every generation consistently.
