NATIONAL SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC COSTS OF WEAK PUBLIC EDUCATION
As you know, the consensus is that our national education system is nonexistent. In reality, our national education system is a hodge-podge of private, public, and charter schools that in years past varied and operated to different standards state-by-state. Our quasi-national education system is not educating American citizens well enough to maintain and sustain international competitive advantages. These competitive advantages are inextricably linked to Math, English, and Science literacy, and their application to the progression of science and technological innovation. Competitive advantages are critical to national security and future prosperity.
