Denver is an absolutely wonderful city to build a life in. It is culturally diverse, offers excellent economic opportunities, and has many different neighborhoods for you to explore when house hunting.
Before you decide to purchase a home, it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with Denver's many different neighborhoods. You should research crime rates, educational statistics, growth rates, and anything else that will aid you in your decision. Though there are many desirable areas in Denver, I have provided a brief description of my favorites.
CLEMENT'S ADDITION
This district is one of the most historically-rich residential regions. The architecture is beautiful, and some of the buildings, like the Zion Baptist Church, have been around since the late 1800's. Each building is unique, so if you are against the idea of "cookie-cutter" homes, surround yourself with these remarkable structures.
COUNTRY CLUB HISTORIC DISTRICT
This suburb is famous for its magnificent mansions and famous residents. Denver's political elite dwell in this neighborhood, and along with its expansive views, it can be quite cozy. Neighboring schools and recreational programs are some of the best in the city.
SLOAN LAKE
The majority of homes in the Sloan Lake neighborhood were built throughout the 1930's. These structures are each uniquely designed and provide a diverse spin on a classic look. Along with these, many late 1800's structures are scattered throughout, providing the neighborhood with an eye-full of Denver history.
CHERRY CREEK
This region is a desirable suburb for people looking to live in their own little pocket of the city. It is filled with restaurants, shopping, and recreational activities. It is easy to imagine yourself cycling the bike path, walking your dog, and mingling with the residents. The homes are generally upscale, the streets are safe and diverse, and the schools have first-class ratings.
PARK HILL
Park hill is located within three miles of the Central Business District, so it is a great location for those who wish to avoid a lengthy commute. Many of the homes were developed in the late 17th
century, and each year people travel from all over the nation to tour these buildings. Though the homes are less varied than other neighborhoods of Denver, it is one of the best residential areas in the business district.
When you purchase your home in Denver, no matter the area, you are sure to be satisfied. Each borough is unique and special, and the only difficulty you will face will be deciding which one is your favorite.
