When In My Dreams
The leaves were dancing in the breeze.
The sun was feeding the trees.
My heart was jumping with glee.
When my eyes saw you smiling at me.
I felt like there was nothing better,
I heard the birds singing their morning chatter,
I saw you closing your eyes, getting thinner,
When you held me close and kissed me.
My bare feet were comfy in the sand,
My heart was beating fast as we ran,
We were laughing and talking hand in hand,
When in between our walk you said you loved me.
Your hair was darker than the night,
Your skin was brighter than the sunlight,
Your eyes were a gorgeous sight,
When you said yes and married me.
Our love was deep and fulfilling,
Our lives were rich and satisfying,
Our children were smart and loving,
When you agreed to grow old with me.
When I cried you comforted me,
When I lied you forgave me,
When I failed you never gave up on me,
That's when i realized, that without you, I could never be.
