Leaving love notes for your sweetheart are one of the easiest and least expensive ways that you can keep the spark of passion alive in your relationship. It is also pretty much a sure bet that your partner will appreciate it and in turn, appreciate you for thinking of it. I have yet to meet anyone who dislikes hearing the good things about themselves and feeling loved. You can get as creative as you want in both word and placement. The following are some ideas to get you started.
If you want to get his or her day off to a pleasant start, you could leave a "good morning" love note in with the coffee filters or the breakfast food. How about writing one on the shower wall with a washable paint or marker? None handy? No problem! You can always tape one to the bathroom mirror. He or she will get a totally unexpected reason to smile the day away.
Does your loved one have to head off to the office for the day? You could place a love note in the pocket of their jacket or pants, in a briefcase, or in with a packed lunch. Tucking a note under the windshield wiper on clear days or placing one on the steering wheel or dashboard of the car is an on the way to the office cup of cheer. If you have a way to access his or her office, you could even put love notes throughout it for them to find whenever they run across them. Write a note inside their planner or program their cell phone to send them a reminder (of how much you love them, of course), if this is an option they have on it.
Does only one of you pay the household bills? Write a note letting them know how much you appreciate it and put it in the bill box for them to find the next time that they get out the pile to pay. It may be especially appreciated there, as most of us do not relish the thought of writing out the checks every month and watching the money dwindle away.
My husband is an airline pilot who travels four days a week, so love notes are a commonplace for flight bags and suitcases in our house. He leaves them for me on my computer desk or on a cup of java from the coffeehouse if he leaves early while I am still cozily wrapped up in bed, snoring away. It is just a reminder of how much we love and miss one another while we're apart, forget-me-nots.
You can craft bookmarks that have loving sayings or poems on them and stick them inside the book or periodical they are currently reading. You can put them in cookbooks; if your partner loves you enough to dig these out, they deserve one!
Whatever, wherever...the sky's the limit when it comes to love notes. Speaking of which, you could get really creative (but take out that inexpensive theory for this one) and hire a skydiver to write your love for all to see! Happy loving and happy writing!
