Why do people marry after a long live-in relationship

Just think a few years have gone by and you find yourself getting married. The good thing is once you get back from your honeymoon your all set. There's no need to pack anything up, or to even look for a new place to live. I guess that's the good thing from already living together.

Now with each generation things seemed to have changed. Years ago it would never have been considered to live with a person before getting married. But in today's society it's kind of a necessary thing. I think it's only fair to live together before marriage, I mean to really get to know the person.

The reason for this is because it gives you and the other person the chance to get to know one another. Find out all their little secrets and all their little quarks that only married people should know. It used to be that before two people were married, they weren't suppose to share a room with one another and they certainely weren't suppose to live with one another. The two were suppose to date for a certain amount of time before marriage was even thought of. But now a days everyone seems to be living together right off the bat and everything just seems to be moving along faster then it used to.

In the times today I think that its a really good idea to live with a person first. I personally wouldn't have it any other way! I mean my relationship with my boyfriend has brought us closer together while we live together. You see we've been living together about as long as we have been together and we pretty much know almost everything there is to know about each other. But even though we both need our own space sometimes, its been really good for the both of us.

You see living together we seem to know what other one needs and what the other one is thinking. I think its better to for a couple to make a home with each other before they actually get married. I mean that way the couple can eliminate all the trouble of combining two lives into one or even trying to do that after they get married.

As far as the question goes, I think people should live together before getting married. I think its a really good idea, just because your basically married without papers anyway. So why not make it official right? I think that if everyone had thought like that, then maybe there wouldn't be as many breakups and divorces in the world. Also you and your partner would truly trust one another. I mean most people aren't that lucky, and they find themselves never really being happy with any of their relationships. Then they go from one relationship to the next never fully trusting anyone they meet. So just think about that before you move in with someone, or even get married for that matter.
