The 2008 presidential election was the most historic one our time. For the first time we saw an African American and a woman appear on the ballots. It would have been interesting to see all of the candidates portrayed fairly and given a chance for the American voters to view their stand on the issues, however, the mainstream media chose to put aside their credibility and "create" a candidate they thought the American people would back and not question. With negative reports on John McCain and Sarah Palin outnumbering Obama 7 -1 the image of Obama grew to Messiah like proportion.
With Obama being the inexperienced candidate, one would of thought it would have been an uphill battle for him, but with the medias help, he was able to downplay any negative factors associated with him. Going to a hate church for 20 years did not seem to matter, having former terrorists as friends and acquaintances was of no issue, associations with devious groups such as ACORN was irrelevant, attending dinners where the people of Israel were verbally attacked seemed to be no problem for half of America, Not producing a birth certificate to certify your eligibility to run for office was never questioned.
Yes the media and Obama ran a brilliant campaign. They preyed on the inexperienced voter, the poverty stricken ones filling their heads with promise of change and stimulus checks, and of course they preyed on those who would vote for Obama strictly for racial reasons and not because they were even aware of the issues or stands made by the candidates. They preyed on voters who despise the Bush administration . It was like taking candy from a baby. Brilliant!
Obama and his millions also played a pivotal role in his winning campaign. Yet while half of America and the mainstream media never seemed to question exactly "where" these millions originated, the other half did. Each dollar a candidate obtains comes with a tiny string attached. Some strings are bigger than others. I guess the question is "who" in this world is holding Obama's strings and will those strings come back to strangle our American freedoms and way of life.
Obama's ability to speak to the people was probably his most beneficial trait during the election season. With words of silver, he was somehow able to convince the people who support him that he was "one of them". While he claims a childhood of poverty, in which case his mother survived on food stamps, many of us question that ,as he was really NOT in America for much
