Short stories: The first day of a baby's life

I was so comfortable inside mommy's tummy. I had food on demand. I swam all day long. And when I was sleepy i slept. There was no night or day. I did whatever I wanted when I wanted. Mommy didn't mind. I could hear her voice. She had such a kind voice. And when she rubbed her tummy it felt so nice and comforting. I like when mommy sings to me.

And then one day things started getting rough. For some reason my water was draining out and I seemed to be moving down. Oh my goodness the light is getting brighter! What's happening! Its getting cold. I want to go home. What is this. The light is hurting my eyes. Something is touching me. Their hands are cold and unfamiliar. What are they doing? UGH,UGH, They stuck something in my throat. I WANT MY MOMMY! Now what are they doing? They cut something. I hear a lot of voices but where is my mommy! This thing I am sitting on is so cold and hard. What is this 7.14 ounces I am hearing. Now what is that cold thing they put on my chest. Oh that water is cold. Why are they cleaning me. Now I can't see. They put something in my eyes. This is not right. What did I do? Is mommy mad at me? Did I do something to make her want me to leave her. I'm sorry mommy.

Oh man this is nice. They have put something warm around me. Oh it feels like they have put me back in my house. Oh they pulled it tight. They are picking me up. Where are you taking me. Hey I recognize that voice. Mommy! Oh there she is. She feels so nice and familiar. oh now she is feeding me. Its so warm running down my throat. I am snuggling closer to mommy. She loves me after all. I am getting sleepy.

Hey where am I at. I hear a lot of crying. Where is mommy. Hey this sucker thing is nice. Oh so much has happened today. Hey that's not mommy but her voice is so nice. She is calling herself grandma. Well whatever that is I like her voice and she smells so nice. Like soap. and here is a man calling himself grandpa. He smells funny. I don't like him. Okay he's gone. oh I hear mommy. I want my mommy. Here she comes. I can feel her. My eyes are clearing a little but everything is still fuzzy. I can see her. She has nice eyes. Her hand is touching my head and it feels soft. her eyes are watering. Maybe they put stuff in her eyes. I hope she gets better. I like being here where I can see mommy. This is kinda nice. It was scary but maybe things will get better. Oh they made the light go away. Mommy looks tired. Maybe I will just close my eyes and.....ZZZ.
