How To Have A Wildflower Themed Wedding

"Love is like wildflowers: It's often found in the most unlikely places!" And wildflowers are often the flower of choice for the ultimate celebration of that love - the wedding! Wildflowers can enhance either the most simple or the most extravagant wedding.

Wildflowers can complement equally a cotton eyelet wedding dress or a gown of the most expensive silk. The little beauties can be part of an informal country theme, a classic traditional celebration, or a formal elegant affair. Country wildflowers are not without their connection to both elegance and tradition. Lady Bird Johnson, former First Lady of the United States of America, was hailed as the Queen of the Texas Wildflowers, for her untiring efforts for their conservation.

Wildflowers are the embodiment of romance. Countless romantic dreams start with two lovers leisurely strolling hand in hand through meadows of wildflowers. Wildflowers are often around for the courtship, the wedding, and for all the family celebrations throughout the years.

Wildflowers are a perfect symbol for marriage. They are as beautiful as the bond of love itself. Wildflowers grow and thrive in profusion. They possess the strength to withstand the elements.

True love also grows and deepens in strength over the years. True love encounters and survives life's challenges. Wildflowers definitely belong at weddings!

A wildflower theme at a wedding can be either a minimal or an all-inclusive presence. The availability of wildflowers is one determining factor when considering the extent of the theme. The ultimate wildflower theme will use the "real" thing - flowers which grow in the wild.

Wildflowers are flowers which grow in the wild. They are neither intentionally planted or seeded by anyone. Wildflower farms provide an alternative for those who can not gather wildflowers on their own.

Wildflower farms often use handpicked seeds from local wildflower meadows. The soil therefore is similar to the land where the flowers grow in the wild. Wildflower farms generally use natural organic growing methods.

Commercial wildflower seeds are also readily available in stores and catalogues. It is possible for a bridal party to grow their own wildflowers. Expert advice is a must, however, if one chooses this option.

Wildflowers are hardy plants. One must be certain, however, that the choice of wildflowers is highly compatible with the climate. Wildflowers that flourish in Hawaii may not do as well in Canada.
