How to watch new movies online

Entering into the digital age staggers me sometimes. Slowly, DVDs are becoming a thing of the past. It's almost scary. What about the popcorn? The Snowcaps? Got to love those Snowcaps. Seriously, though-I don't need to worry about movie theaters and even drive-ins. These days, that concept is becoming more and more of a 'culture' rather than an 'entertainment necessity'. We don't NEED to go out and see a movie anymore. But we WANT to, because there's a social element involved.

Without a doubt, though, the fact that we don't even need to step into a car and drive somewhere to watch a movie has entered into the forefront of entertainment-we've got Netflix, Blockbuster, YouTube even! Yes, YouTube. Yes, you can even watch movies on YouTube, of all sites.

Dear God, even step past that favorite American pastime of the movie rental, with the evolution of the late-fee-free Netflix concept and all the clones out there. I'm talking online here. The new frontier. The new platform for watching movies. Literally, the movie industry has moved into the same realm as the music industry, what with platforms like Napster, MySpace Music, things like that. CDs have practically turned into MP3s-and the same is happening with film.

So you ask then-how do I watch movies online? Well, YouTube is one way. But that's not a particularly efficient way. Netflix even has its own section of online movies. It's interesting. I have one site, above all sites, that you absolutely NEED to visit if you want to catch ANY film. And I mean ANY film. The site is known as surfthechannel.net. We're talking A-Z here, movies, television, even music videos. Played for you with ease, linked with such sites as Youku (the oriental version of YouTube), Megavideo, Veoh and many other different video sites. You name it, Surfthechannel's got it. Even films that currently play in theaters, you will find on the site. Yes, believe it.

Putting aside issues involving illegal downloads and things like that, I would have to keep you informed, indeed, that if you were to link to an online movie now playing in theaters, first off, the quality wouldn't be as sharp, nor the ease of use. Again, the concept is very much like Napster. This is why, in fact, Surfthechannel is still so popular. The fact is-an illegal download involves actually STEALING a copyrighted work and claiming ownership. Surfthechannel does no such thing, though-you're simply watching the film. Not owning it. It doesn't belong to you. You don't have it. You've simply watched it online.

Enough of that, though. We're in the digital age, as I've said. An age where information is power, where you have everything at your fingertips right in your own room-even as you ride a train or sit in your car with a Smartphone. Watching movies online has become easier than brushing your teeth. It's true. So have it! Watch that fabulous film with Russel Crowe and relish in his manliness. I'm sure you'll be pleased.
