In her eyes stood the desire to be free,
as I looked at the lady behind bars staring back at me.
In his eyes stood a long distant shame,
as I looked at the man who was homeless who didn't even know his name.
In their eyes stood victory as they played the game so well,
little league ball players and all the stories they tell.
In his eyes you could see compassion as he was hanging on a cross,
the sins of the world oh what a mighty cost.
In my eyes you see determination to always give a helping hand,
to leave on the legacy of being a caring man.
