I'll Be A Real Christmas Tree
This pine forest has been my home
For so many lonely years.
I've watched the other saplings chosen,
And, yes if I could, I'd cry real tears.
I might not be the prettiest tree.
It seems to me, no one really cares.
I dream of a cozy sitting room.
Standing tall at the foot of the stairs.
You'll see, I could be glorious
If you'll only give me a try.
With lights and an angel on top,
I could attract every eye.
No need to pile on the presents.
Just a nicely wrapped box or two.
I promise to shine all through the season.
I'll light up your Christmas for you.
Over here-I'm over here-Yes oh yes.
You won't be sorry you picked me.
I'm going home, home for the holidays.
I'll be a real Christmas tree.
