Where is Spain?
Would you be able to locate Spain on a map? It is not my purpose to be critic but after some years teaching Spanish to English speakers, I realize there are a lot of people who don't know where Spain is.
So, the answer is: in Europe.
Why people think Spain is in Latin America? I think it is quite logical, as they associate the language (Spanish language) to all the Spanish speakers from countries in South/Central America.
Let's be more concrete: Spain is located at the South of Europe. If we take a look at a map, we can say this country is "below" France. In fact the Iberian Peninsula ("la Pennsula Ibrica") is formed by two countries: Portugal and Spain. This peninsula (so, these two countries) is surrounded by water. On the right, we have the Mediterranean Sea (Mar Mediterrneo). On the left, the Atlantic Ocean (Ocano Atlntico), and at the North, the Cantabrian Sea. (Mar Cantbrico).
