Another song, lyrics misheard.
Another voice, without a word.
Another day, another drink.
Another sip until I can't think.
The same day, familiar steps.
Same people wanting but nobody gets.
Different heart, yet feel the same pain.
The people might but the feelings don't change.
Most things don't but some things stay the same.
Why is it we would rather never love again?
We search to find what does'nt exist.
Think we've found it til we feel fates twist.
We long for a second chance, a lighted path.
A choice of future and erase the past.
What are we but living ghouls?
What are we but lost souls?
Who are we but God's puppets?
We are human. We are one.
