One way to make money with a domain name.

There seems to be an overwhelming amount of information available on-line about how to make money on the Internet. But from personal experience over the last 15 years I have found most of it is not very accurate. Sure there are people making a thousand dollars on any given day. But there are also more than a thousand people losing a dollar on that same day. Rather than discuss the pros and cons of various ways how about I give you one specific example.

There are millions of websites on the Internet and there are millions more domain names that are registered but are not actual websites. Have you ever typed something into your address bar and added a .com to the end to see where it went? Chances are you found a website if it was some popular name. But if it wasn't then two things could happen, a page not found message or it went to some parked page. Most domain registrars parked pages go to links that look like search results. These are ads that are making someone money.

What you need is a domain name that will make you money. What would it take for a domain name to be yours and how would you make money from it? And another thing, how do you get people to type it in? First of all there are dozens if not hundreds of domain registrars out there. Just do an on-line search for domain registration. For this example you do not need any hosting or website extras. You actually need to beware of these as some companies offer free domain names. You want to be sure you are the owner of the domain name. And nothing says owner better than paying for it. So get out there and buy your domain name.

I seem to have strayed from my "specific" terminology. Just any old domain name is not going to get you very far. Can you remember the last time you saw a domain name during the day and then went home and typed it into your browser? Can you remember the last time you saw a domain name? I see them all the time. Several dozen on a daily basis actually. I am a commuter not far from Philadelphia so I get to sit in traffic for a half hour a day. Tell me what is on the rear end of your car. Is there a license plate frame advertising for the dealer you bought your car from? If there is are they paying you to advertise for them?

Now that I mentioned it I'm sure you will notice how many license plates frames there are with www addresses on them. Some state license plates even have the states website address on them. You may even live in a state where it
