A three-step plan for effective treatment of head lice:

1. Treatment
Mix the following:
30ml/1fl oz olive oil
10 drops of rosemary essential oil
10 drops of lavender essential oil
and massage into damp hair and scalp.
Cover with a shower cap and follow with the following shampoo.

2. Shampoo
Mix three drops of thyme with baby shampoo (or another natural, unperfumed shampoo) lather and wait for five minutes before rinsing. (Not thyme can be an irritant to the skin so do not use the shampoo more than once a week and never use it undiluted).

3. Rinse
Rinse hair with a mixture of the following:
500ml/16 fl oz warm water
500ml apple cider vinegar
6 drops rosemary essential oik
6 drops lavender essential oil
- then comb hair thoroughly with a lice comb and rinse with clean water.
