Captured are the memories that always lead to you
Painful are the thoughts that I can't seem to undo
Forgiving is the heart but the mind doesn't put it away
How you heart me the deepest and scarred my living days
Shackled to a pain that burdens my heart so
The more I try to forget, the more it seems to grow
The promise that I kept to you was what God would have asked
Broken are the ties that bind, but still I am captured in this trap
It's like being in a bottle filled with a poison smoke
A cork placed on top and there is nowhere for me to go
I close my eyes and hold my breath hoping it will be over
But you live on tormenting me
Laying this burden forever on my shoulders
Captured in this endless pain and looking for a way
To release my soul from the shackles you have forced on me
Even after your dying day
What I would give to just be able to forget
And breathe for a second without this in my head
To erase the hurt and the anger that you put on me
I am captured in this trap and see no way to get free

An old antiquated house. With piles of junk in the back, old lamps with dangling gems strung across their cracked shades.

we wandered aimlessly.
The night before still warmed my blood;
you were so grand to me.
You stopped
