A ship sailing the silent seas
Enters a storm that tosses and heaves
The ship so strong pursing its course
Forced upon jetties, broken and torn
The crew of two at first disgruntled
Looking to mend the hull of the wood
Not finding the means, though the wish they could
So strong they work through tears and grief
Fighting a fight as waters crest
Threatening to drown the ship at last
The winds they blow and push the seas
It howls and laughs as if it had succeeded
The crew of two, hands and hearts so strong
Wait and wait trying to ride out the storm
The waters rage, the ship starts to sink
The crew of two drop to their knees
No chance to save a sinking ship
They pray for the storm to finally give
They decided that the ship could go
So together they find the only life boat
Heavy it was to be moved by just one
The crew of two had to work strong
Together they lifted that very small boat
And off the side they said to the wind
The seas will calm and you will cease to blow
Together we will work, together we will row
They couldn't save the sinking ship as it was
Or stop the storm, it was what it was
But together they made it through the winds and the waves
To a sea silent until another day

The Loss
Your death has left a void in me,
I have no way to cross.
When God took you
I felt the loss,

I refuse to be taken at face value.
Because there is so much more to me.
More then this visage you see.

Just like when I was a child afraid of thunder and lightening.

My pain was gone when the dark
