Why do I need a woman?

Why do I need a woman

To reinforce my self esteem?

Why do I need a wife

To keep my socks and boxers clean?

Why do I need a girlfriend

To fulfil an empty scheme?

I'll tell you why I need her

She'll share my hopes and dreams.

Why do I need a woman

I can live my life myself

Why do I need a lady

So Im not left on the shelf?

Why do I need a girly

To hold my helpless hand?

Ok I know why I need one

To be a real true friend

But why do I need a woman?

Why? Now tell me that?

Why do I need a female/

Why not a dog or cat?

Why do I need a lady babe

To keep me warm in bed?

Cos human touch is vital

Or life is simply dead!

What do I need in a woman

That's not in my garden shed?

What could she do or give me

That I couldn't do instead?

Apart from kids, what is there

That a wedding band can bring?

Too right, I do not need her

It's just nice, that's what I said.

The path of life is lonely

Without a partnership

That's what my mother told me

Her hands I tried to grip

And when I lost my lady

I thought that I might slip

But then my eyes were opened

To a world that I'd never seen...

and I was free... to be.. me...
