To Myself,
Take a look around at everything you have now. Would things be different if you had chosen a different path? If you had chosen to stay in the military, or go off the college right after high school, would you be where you always thought you would be or would you be worse off then now? Your life is not so bad you know. Please do not think of the things you have give up on as wasted time. It is all of the little things that make up who you are today and it is all of these things from your past that you owe credit to for bringing you where you are now. Life is about choices and you have made yours. You chose to leave the things that you were involved with and pursue a family life with a wonderful man and now you have two beautiful little girls. Please look into yourself and forgive yourself for things you have done because the world will eventually move on and you cannot dwell on things that you have done wrong. I want you to adhere to the changes in the world, understand that it is necessary in order for the world to move on. Live, laugh, love the way that you always have. I love you, I always have. I just don't think you believe me when you look at me. Please don't cry anymore. Please don't worry. Everything will be okay. Your future looks promising and your life is only getting better. Whenever it seems like the end is near, it is not; It is only a new beginning, a start of another time and place. Even if the world were to end, your secrets, your most intimate thoughts, are safe with me. Don't worry about being a perfect mother every day. We all make mistakes and we all learn from them. Sure you were young when you got married and had your first child but you're doing so well for someone being so young. Your children will grow up and thank you for sticking around. Be patient, time will fly and before you know it, they will be gone but your love will never leave. I just hope you take these words to heart. I promise I will always love you. I will always be there for you. I will never abandon you. You can always count on me to make you happy, make you feel wanted. Place your trust and faith in me and I'll make everything worth while. You have my word.
From, the one who knows you best
And remember, it wasn't really wasted time. "The rythm of my heart is beating like a drum, with the words I love you rolling
off my tongue. Never will I roam for I know my place is home. Where the ocean meets the sky I'll be sailing."-Rod Stewart
