morning voices low and civil
over first morning's coffee
percolated on a wood stove
warm bathing light

under a forty watt bulb
snowy horsblankets drift
past the panes sectioned
painted white gloss cutting
a gallery of gray
of the outdoor side
of the forty watt bulb
